Arsenal's season may have crocked now for sure with the injury to captain Cesc Fabregas. It was something that was in denial for a bit and a half but it is over now. It's completely shot up. The season is gone. With Fabregas Arsenal are good bordering on brilliant. Without him they are average knocking on . ok. It is that simple Cesc Fabregas is the genius who makes things happen at the Arsenal. He puts the hard work in and also puts in those incredible passes. That is what makes the man. And now Arsenal without him will suddenly go through an even rougher patch. While I am an optimist on most days I am not so confident right now. Too many injuries and Arsene doesnt look like he is to interested in buying so we are screwed. Unless some ace up his sleeve is waiting to shock the system. Ramsey maybe? Who knows?

Unless you live under a rock somewhere in the middle of the timbuktu something or the other.. then you will know that Cesc Fabregas is the new captain of the Arsenal. Yes they have made him substantive, yes permanent captain at the age of 21. Well you have to say that Wenger wasn't exactly spoilt for choice in that department. It was either Fabregas or Fabregas really. The other names were never in there. I think to an extent Gallas was keeping the seat warm for Cesc. And well the seat isnt warm, it's bloody hot. It's Chelsea this weekend and it is not a good time to go to the Bridge. Fabregas reckons we can get a win there but I think he is one of the few optimistic ones. I think Arsenal can get back into this race if they find the consistency that has been eluding them. After the embarrassment of the little Craven Cottage affair Arsenal's lads came back strongly last night and beat up Ajax and Cos poor cousins at the Emirates in a public execution. Let's face it, Twente never really had a chance and judging from the goals from Bendtner *, young Theo * and that lad Sami * as well that bloke Gallas there was never really a chance of Arsenal bowing out. Twente are an awful team coached by a third grade english manager. What else can you expect. He was responsible for the quiet summer that the English fans have just had while the continent was buzzing with activity. He should drawn and quartered but given how horrible Twente are on paper even, they deserve each other. Thsi weekend's match against Newcastle will be a huge one though. So Arsene Wenger has come up with a new policy of selling off players when they start growing facial hair and that sort of thing and trading them for kids just out of kindergarten. Now that is all very well if these are super-talents and fortunately for Wenger this is true. He has put some absurdly talented kids together and I am bound to misbehave in one shape or form but it never hurts when you dream. I know that I have been calling on many blogs all over for the Diaby to play centre and this might just happen. I watched the Arsenal this week with almost absolute disdain for the nature of the match. Derby who already been confirmed relegated simply were not good enough. In effect they were awful. Arsenal walked the ball about and nothing happened. They could have scored a world record if they wanted to but to what end. I think they just wanted to keep it respectable and at, there was no need to go for the sixer until the Zambian-Welsh boy scored. After that there was need to put the distance between the Arsenal and their opponents. That said the poor thing about Arsenal was a lack of professionalism from some of the players. I felt players like Walcott could have done their cause a little better with more concentration and that sort of thing. They could have scored more and they could have done more. Poor chap is alive still and hoping he doesnt get an infection in as far as his injury is concerned. I am told that he will be out for at least nine months which is about the amount of time it will take for a baby to be born. \ The sad thing though is to do with the fact that the bloke who's gone and put him out of the Euros is going to be back playing footie soon. He has the same level of punishment as that of a last man tug on someone's shirt. It is a bit ridiculous. There should be investigations after matches to determine how bad the tackle was.
