Iwobi silliness, Sanchez update Coq out and Wenger's not the answer
So I needed a few days to calm down after the weird Nottingham Forest exit from the FA Cup.
Every draft of the post had in mind had pretty much all the expletives Samuel Jackson has ever uttered in moves. OK it was fucked up.
You know, you think it would feel better after a few days but it really doesn't. Like you just have no idea where this club is going anymore. It's like that weird period when Zimbabweans were like, so erm... what is going on, you know, before the thing that must not be called by that name cause, you know. Anyway we are happier now.
And that is just the thing though. Whatever the question at the club is, Arsene Wenger seized to be the answer a while ago. Unless the answer was FA Cup exit against a hopeless, managerless Nottingham Forest.
Yes, the players could have done better, but in reality, the reason you have subs is so that if plan A goes wrong, you have the other thing.
But having such a silly bench is also because Arsenal invest like scrooge mcduck at a strip club.
That is an institutional problem and while Wenger's incompetency is not his fault. If you have a small penis and woman demands a bigger penis, it is not your fault. The people who keep insisting that with Mazda 323 engine put in a Formula 1 body, you can beat Lewis Hamilton in his monster is weird. It can't work. It won't work. It isn't working.
Wenger's gave us a bunch of great years but he has no had any great years left for a while. And unless Jesus appears at my door in Spandex jamming a remix to Bob Marley's redemption song and Soul Jah Love's Zvinhu you can't convince me otherwise.

Meanwhile in a press conference before the Carabao Cup (it really feels like a toy cup now) Wenger said the possibility that the only defensive midfielder who can actually defend at the club Francis Coquelin was real. Just not to West Ham. But yeah, he could be a goner.
And then there was the whole Alex Iwobi thing where he was partying 48 hours before that Forest madness. Sure The Sun is best used wiping my pet hamsters poephol for implying that the youngster was taking drugs but the fact that a youngster is symptomatic if the fact that things are slipping.

And as for Alexis Sanchez, it seems as Wenger knows as much as we do. He doesn't know if the dude will stay or not. Just that there is no bid and well, if one comes, then he will tell us.
He says he can't even get Johnny Evans.... if City want him. So City will raid you for Sanchez and get the other guy too. That is like someone snatching your wife and your mistress.
